Fu Baoshi’s Return to the Boat Through Storm Map Axis

[Fu Baoshi Wind and Rain Returning to the Boat Axis]

The Wind and Rain Returning to the Boat Axis, modern and contemporary, painted by Fu Baoshi, paper based, colored, 60.8 cm vertically and 52.8 cm horizontally.
“In the late April of Jiashen’s reign, at Shapingba Central University, I received a giant picture of the wind and rain returning to the boat written by Jin Dongxin using the pen technique of Ma He, and my mind was one of the obstacles. When I came back to my hometown, I thought of writing and stroking, but I couldn’t do it. Today, I picked up the pendant slightly, and touched the pen for this, feeling very ashamed, which was beyond the reach of the ancients. On the ninth day of May of Jiashen, I was drenched all day. The new metaphor Fu Baoshi kept it in mind. The seal” Baoshi Italy “was printed in white, while the seal” Jiashen “was printed in Zhu, “Baoshizhai” and “Qiming Restoration” are printed by Zhu Wenfang< Jia Shen was born in 1944< "Fu Baoshi's painting of rain began in the 1940s, and it should be the rainy climate in the mountainous areas of Sichuan that inspired his creation.". Since then, whether it was the wind and rain in Bashu or the continuous rain in the south of the Yangtze River, he has reappeared in his paintings, which is fascinating. Therefore, commentators often use "half of the mountains and rivers with rain marks" to describe the characteristics of his paintings. When it comes to painting rain, he believes that ancient painters "don't directly paint rain, but can make people feel like rain." When Jin Dongxin arrived in the Qing Dynasty, he began to explore ways to directly paint rain. I was influenced by him and also absorbed the performance methods of Western watercolor paintings. However, for me, the most important teacher is nature itself. "Nature triggered his inspiration and provided him with materials, drawing on the strengths of Chinese and foreign rain painting techniques, Fu Baoshi has successfully demonstrated the momentum of rain that originally had no fixed shape, forming a strong infectious force that can be called a masterpiece
From the caption in the picture, it can be seen that the painter of this painting department was inspired by the painting “The Painting of Returning to the Boat with Rain and Wind” drawn by Jin Nong at Central University. After repeated deliberation, he just finished writing, which can be seen from his cautious attitude. I saw a boat moving forward in the rainstorm and gale. The boatman violently shook the oars with full strength, and the owner held up an umbrella to avoid the pouring rain. The reeds on the shore were broken by the strong wind, and the mountains in the distance were blurred into a hazy landscape by the wind and rain. The realistic wind and rain effect makes people feel as if they are in the midst of it, and it seems that they can hear the sound of wind, rain, water, and thunder interwoven into a symphony that shakes the heart and soul
