Fu Baoshi Landscape Figure Axis

[Fu Baoshi’s Landscape Figure Painting Axis]

The “Landscape Figure Painting” axis, in modern times, is painted by Fu Baoshi in paper, with colors, 153 centimeters vertically and 41 centimeters horizontally
The title of this painting is: “In the third month of Jiashen’s reign, the new metaphor Fu Baoshi was placed on the foot of the Jingang Slope in the western suburb of Chongqing.” The seal “Baoshi Private Seal” is printed in white, and the seal “often drunk” is printed in Zhu< The year of Jia Shen was 1944
The picture is shrouded in a sombre and solemn atmosphere, with distant mountains like barriers, majestic and vast, thousands of rocks and gullies, lush vegetation, and several clear streams as thin as lines. On the path between mountains, rocks, and dense trees, the two Confucian scholars seemed to echo each other in the distance, enjoying themselves and forgetting to return. The painter uses his brushwork to express the structure of the mountain body through the inflection of his brush strokes, free and unrestrained, in a single stroke, in order to achieve an artistic effect of deep affection and natural charm
