- Description:
In the 42nd year of Wanli (1614), Wu Xingzhong, a Suzhou collector, presented the Six Posts of Su Family Father and Son. It was originally collected by the Xiang Yuanbian (1525-1590) family. Dong Qichang wrote this book in addition to the inscription and postscript, and suggested that the Su family script be copied into a post for wide circulation. The year before last, Dong Qichang also watched Yan Zhenqing’s handwriting collected by Wu Xingzhong. He not only copied it, but also painted it to commemorate it. Although he criticized Su Shi’s writing, Dong Qichang did not shy away from the fact that he learned Su characters and left many imitations. Although this volume has a strong look of Dong Shu’s own, the pen is more square and the lines are more thick, which is much stronger than the original elegant style.
