- Description:
According to Chen Jiru’s postscript, this volume was written by Dong Qichang for Xiang Lihou (the descendants of? – 1636). The Xiang family’s character is in Tibet, and is the same ancestor as Xiang Yuanbian. He is a grandson. He himself is a calligraphy enthusiast of Dong Qichang. He used to have financial difficulties to collect Dong characters. Dong Qichang, who did not like calligraphy entertainment, not only took the trouble to write Zhong You, Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi and other works for him, but also lamented that the paper was too short to write the Preface to the Orchid Pavilion, showing their mutual understanding. Dong Qichang has never given up Zhong and Wang Fathi in his life since he studied the book. Although this book is a temporary book, he still adheres to the consistent attitude of “meaning is temporary”. It is his own nature to write words with a pen, and even the words copied are different from the original book.
