- Description:
Round mouth, curved shallow wall, slightly bulged in the center of the plate, short circle foot. The body is light and thin. It is full of glaze and burnt. The whole body is covered with blue glaze. After being burnt, it turns grey green. Gray edges appear along the thin glaze of the mouth, there are glaze wiping marks under the mouth, and the surface is covered with brown patterns. There are six burn points left around the bottom, and dark gray fetal bodies can be seen in the branch marks. In the center of the bottom, there is a seal character “ancient” inscription, and the groove is filled with cinnabar. The shape and firing process of this exhibit are similar to those unearthed from the cellar of the Yuan Dynasty at No. 89, Shuangjing Street, Anqing City, Anhui Province, so we can study and judge the possible firing time. On the other hand, this style can also be traced back to the unearthed examples of the official kilns at Tanxia and Laohudong in the suburbs of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, which further reflects that the celadon fragments of the Yuan Dynasty continued the style of the official kilns of the Southern Song Dynasty.
