Fu Baoshi’s Waterfall View Axis

[Axis of Fu Baoshi’s Waterfall Observation Map]

Axis of the Waterfall Observation Map, modern and contemporary, painted by Fu Baoshi, paper based, colored, 90.3 cm vertically and 56.7 cm horizontally
The title of this painting is: “Written by Fu Baoshi in the Shanzhai in the western suburbs of Chongqing, a new metaphor.” The seal is “Fu” with a square seal in Zhu text, “Bao Shi’s private seal” with a square seal in Bai text, and “often drunk” with a rectangular seal in Zhu text
The picture above depicts a waterfall pouring down, which is exactly the artistic conception of the famous sentence “Flying down three thousand feet, it is suspected that the Milky Way is falling nine days” in Li Bai’s “Watching the Waterfall of Lushan Mountain (Two Songs)”. Under the dense shade of the close shot, towering boulders stood out, and a scholar lay on his back, his eyes filled with verdant tree colors. From afar, he could see thousands of rocks and gullies. Presumably, the beautiful music interwoven by the sound of water and trees intoxicates the people in the painting. The composition of this painting is magnificent, and the brushwork is wild, either horizontal, vertical, or curly. It is not restricted to a single pattern, and it is freely wielded. It looks like grass, but in fact, it contains a powerful and profound tension
This picture is donated by Mrs. Fu Baoshi, Luo Shihui
