Yixing Kiln Bingxin Taoist Zisha Round Pot, Qing Guangxu, 13.2 cm high, 8 cm calibre, 6.5 cm foot diameter
The pot body is spherical, with a hemispherical lid and a round bead button. The mouth and cover are tightly buckled. On one side of the belly are carved mountain stones and flowers, and on the other side are carved variant seal script poems. The signature is “Right Brother Guangyi’s inscription, copied from ancient pottery, and engraved.” The seal script “Shouzhen” and “Bingxin Taoist” are stamped on the inside of the cover and on the bottom of the pot. The sand mud is iron brown, and the slurry is fine and moist. The shape of the pot is round and plump, full and steady
“Shouzhen” refers to Cheng Shouzhen.
