“Heaven and Earth, One Family in Spring” is a plaque hanging on a building in the Yuanmingyuan Garden. It is said that this is the place where Cixi (who was a Langui person at that time) was blessed and prospered by the emperor in the spring of the fourth year of Xianfeng, and was burned down by the British and French allied forces in 1860. “Da Ya Zhai” is the name given by Empress Dowager Cixi to her studio. These two types of porcelain were specially fired for Empress Dowager Cixi by the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Factory during the Guangxu period.
