Animal Genealogy Album – Canine
During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, it was painted by Yu Province, Zhang Weibang, and others, in silk, with colors.. During the Qianlong period, Yu Province, Zhang Weibang, and others were instructed to create “The Book of Animals”, depicting various beasts recorded in ancient and modern books such as “The Collection of Ancient and Modern Books” and “The Classic of Mountains and Seas”. On the right and left of the atlas, some paintings are based on records and imagination, while others are based on the true image of the beast. The Chinese and Manchu characters are compared to verify or comment on the painted animals.
