Tongyin Lady Yushan

[Tongyin Maiden Jade Mountain]

Tongyin Maiden Jade Mountain is located in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, with a length of 25 centimeters, a width of 10.8 centimeters, and a height of 15.5 centimeters
This jade mountain is made of white jade with a yellowish brown jade skin. Taking the moon gate as the boundary, the courtyard is divided into two parts: front and back. The cave door is half closed. On the right side of the door stands a woman holding glossy ganoderma, surrounded by rockeries and tung trees; On the other side of the door, there was also a woman standing with a treasure bottle in her hand. She looked at the woman outside through the crack of the door, surrounded by plantain trees, stone benches, stone tables, and rocks. On the bottom of the tool, there are engraved poems and articles made by the Emperor Qianlong. Shiyun:
Take the bowl material and carve the pattern with the quality. Remaining water remains in the mountains, with Tongyan and Banana trees in the courtyard
Girl Counselor, Carpenter’s Lucky Soul. “The weight of righteousness has nothing to throw away, winning his weeping over Chu Ting.”
At the end of the year, the “Qianlong Guisi New Autumn Imperial Titles” and the “Qian” and “Long” seals were signed respectively. The text said, “The tribute jade from Hetian was used as a bowl, and the Wu craftsman carved the remaining materials into a picture. There were no discarded objects, and the jade was still complete. Imperial knowledge.” At the end, there was the seal of “Tai Pu”< The content and style of this device are all modeled after the oil painting "The Painting of a Lady in Tongyin". The jade material used is actually a discarded object after carving a bowl, but the jade craftsmanship is exquisite, the courtyard is secluded, and the characters are vivid. It seems that people can hear the two women whispering through the crack of the door. The remaining materials are utilized, and this method of taking their natural shapes and colors and transmitting them to vivid gods is in line with the principle that "those who take advantage of potential, take advantage of benefits, and control them" ("Wen Xin Diao Long"). This article is a representative work of circular jade carving in the Qing Dynasty.
