Song Zan Gan Bu Portrait, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, 76 cm vertically and 50.5 cm horizontally. The old collection of the Qing Palace
This portrait is colored on cloth and lined with red and yellow woven gold satin. The center of the picture is a statue of Songzan Ganbu, holding a Dharma wheel in his left hand and a lotus vine in his right hand. He sits on a throne, with a white wrapped head and a high crown, revealing a small red statue of Amitabha Buddha, indicating that he is the embodiment of Guanyin Bodhisattva. There are four people standing in front of the seat. The one wearing red on the right is Princess Wencheng of Tang Dynasty, the one wearing blue on the left is Princess Chizun of Nepal, and the young person holding a scripture with a white towel wrapped around his head on the right front is Tubo Minister Tunmi Sang Buza. The long bearded old man leaning on a staff on the opposite side is Tubo Prime Minister Lu Dongzan. This image combination is a fixed form of Songzan Ganbu in Tibetan sculpture and painting. In the center of the lower part of the screen is the goddess of the female Dharma Protector, the Twelve Danma Goddesses, with pink clouds in the sky and eleven faces of Guanyin in neutral. The background is the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa. The composition of this portrait is sparse and clear, with elegant colors and smooth lines. It is a masterpiece that absorbs the painting techniques of the Han Dynasty< "On the sixth day of March, the 26th year of Qianlong's reign, the emperor ordered Zhang Jia Hu Tu Ke to recognize the origin and development of the Dalai Lama in the painting." This picture is one of the group paintings of the Dalai Lama
