Colorful landscape figure pattern lozenge flowerpot, Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, height 31.8 cm, caliber 59.3 × 41.5cm, foot diameter 45.5 × 26.7 cm
The flowerpot is hexagonal, folded and rhombic along the edge. Deep belly, with hexagonal feet on the outside of the racking platform, and two round holes for water seepage at the bottom. The upper part of the vessel is painted with white glaze, and the lower part is exposed at the bottom. The folding edge is painted with pomegranate flowers and fruits, with the word “longevity” as decoration. The six sides of the outer wall of the basin are painted with a picture of immortals celebrating their birthday. Ruyi head pattern is raised at the foot edge, and the inside is painted with broken branch pattern. The blue and white regular script “made in Kangxi year of the Qing Dynasty” is arranged horizontally along the folding edge
In the Kangxi period, the production technology of color fighting porcelain has developed on the basis of inheriting the Ming Dynasty. The variety of shapes of utensils is more diverse, and large utensils emerge in an endless stream. The glaze color of this flowerpot is red, yellow, green, blue, black, purple, etc. It is colorful and gorgeous. The fine brushwork of the decorative painting, especially the vivid portrayal of the characters, can be regarded as the best of the large pieces of the Kangxi Color-fighting.
