Langyao flasks

[Lang Kiln Flap Bottle]

Lang Kiln Flap Bottle was made in Jingdezhen during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. Bottle skimming, short neck, shoulder slip, arc belly, foot end skimming. The inner wall is painted with white glaze, the outer wall is painted with Lang kiln red glaze, and the white carcass is exposed around the mouth and foot
The Langyao red glaze was named after Lang Tingji, the then governor of the Jingdezhen Imperial Ware Factory, and was one of the three varieties of high-temperature copper red glaze that flourished during the Kangxi period. According to Liu Tingji’s “Miscellaneous Notes in the Garden”, its porcelain was imitated from ancient times and was fired by imitating the Ming Yongle and Xuande red glaze. The color of the glaze water, the orange skin and the sand hole were almost unreal, and the style was also very cute, which was extremely difficult to identify
