Shen Zhou.” After that, the seal of “Qinan” and “Baishiweng” was stamped. In this picture, the dead branches of old trees in winter are painted with light ink wet brush, and the jackdaws inhabit the branches with thick ink dry brush, and the feathers crinkle. Shen Zhou’s outstanding contribution to Chinese painting is to create freehand brushwork of flowers and birds in ink on raw paper and establish his own style of brush and ink. His works rely on his profound calligraphy skills, such as the use of the center pen, turning the natural, using ink as color, rich in layers and varied, and perfectly combine the shape of flowers and birds, the poetic interest of literati and the emphasis on brushwork, and become one of the models of traditional painting.
