[Copper Guanyin image board]

Copper Guanyin image board, bright, 16 cm high, 11.2 cm wide
Guanyin sits in the middle, half folded on the lotus, high combed hair, round head light, right hand holding knee, left hand holding willow branch. Good fortune lives on the left, steps on the lotus, puts his hands together, and worships Guanyin. The fairy bird above his head holds a string of beads in its mouth and spreads its wings. The dragon girl is on the right, holding a clean bottle in both hands, and lining the back with bamboo. The waves under the lotus where Guanyin sits are rough. On the back of the image board, there are six columns of Yangwen, ranging from 8 to 10 characters. The inscription is: “There is no Buddha in the south, there is no monk in the south, there is no Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in the south, there is no salvation, there is only Duo, Om, Galavado, Galavado, Galavado, Raavado, Saha, Tianluo people, Diluo people, people are hard to leave, people are hard to leave, and all disasters turn to dust.” Guanyin, together with good fortune, dragon girl, and Jingping, fairy bird, appeared as one of the common themes in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The composition and carving techniques of this image board are excellent among works of the same subject.
