The self-title of this picture is: “When you are in the spring, you will make a picture of the Meditation Hall of Dinghui for Master Xuanzhao. Qian Gu.” The lower seal is “Qian Shubao”. Introduction: Wang Zhideng’s title: “The picture of Dinghui Temple in Qianshan, and the record of Xiaoxuan written by Huang Zhengjun.” The tail paper, Huang Jishui, and his father, Huang Shengzeng, wrote the “Stele of Xiaoxuan of Su Wenzhong in Dinghui Temple in Wujun”. In addition, the seal collection is stamped with “Home in Tianjin Gushang” and “Yi Zhai Collection”
Dinghui Temple is near the famous twin towers in Suzhou. Su Shi, a famous poet in the Northern Song Dynasty, had a good friendship with Dinghui Temple monks. In the fifth year of the Ming orthodoxy (1440), the inscription on the tablet “Mr. Dongpo’s Inscription” recorded that “Mr. Su Wenzhong, who was in charge of Hangzhou, returned to Huzhou and traveled to and from Huzhou, never failed to reach the Dinghui Temple, so there were many chants in the temple.” This volume was specifically targeted at the temple, and the statues from the mountain gate to the Buddhist temple to the temple were clearly described, which is a work with strong realistic style.
