[Zhu Shaozong’s Painting Page of Chrysanthemum Cong Flying Butterfly]
The Painting Page of Chrysanthemum Cong Flying Butterfly, Song Dynasty, Zhu Shaozong’s painting, Wanfan page, silk edition, color setting, 23.7cm in length and 24.4cm in width
This style: “Zhu”. The seal is hidden and printed in two directions. The seal is vague, and only one word “Lin” can be identified. The inscription on the border: “Zhu Shaozong’s chrysanthemum cluster flies butterflies”
The picture shows the blooming chrysanthemums. The flowers are yellow, white, blue and purple, and the composition is complex, as bright as brocade. Although it is a wild scenery near the fence, it is rich and elegant. The bees come after the flowers, and the butterflies fly up and down, adding a sense of movement to the picture. The color of petals and leaves is extremely exquisite. The flower center is dotted with white powder, which has a strong three-dimensional sense, and looks like it protrudes from the silk. The history of painting said that the author was “more sophisticated than his peers”, and the letter was true
The opposite picture has a poem inscribed by the Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, which reads: “The flowers are burning and the flowers are blooming, and the flowers are blooming in the autumn. The wind is full of fragrance, and the dew is half flowing. The painting has a divine solution, and the Yuan and Ming meet the Zhuang and Zhou dynasties.” The seal is “the treasure of the Eight Marches”, Zhu Wenyin, and “self-improvement”, Bai Wenyin
