[Sketch Grass and Insect Map Page]
Sketch Grass and Insect Map Page, Song Dynasty, silk version, colored, 25.9 cm vertically and 26.9 cm horizontally
This picture has no style. There are seven seals in the picture, including “Xiang Molin seal” in the upper right corner, “Yi Hori eye blessing” in the lower right corner, “Yu Teng private seal”, “Ding Bochuan appreciation seal”, “Mao He Zhen appreciation”, “Wu’s treasure” and “Yan Zhi” in the lower left corner
Wild flowers and plants are painted on the right side of the picture, with dogtail and aster leaves interspersed. The cauliflower butterfly falls on the flower to absorb nectar, the dragonfly slowly flies low, the grasshopper jumps to jump, and the whole picture is full of motion. The equilateral triangle composition of the three insects on the screen balances the center of gravity bias caused by the clumps of weeds, making the structure of the screen stable. The wild grass and flowers and leaves are filled with blue and juicy green. The flowers and leaves are made without bones. The insects are also used to write, and the shape is lifelike.
