This statue of Buddha is a high bun with round face, elongated eyebrows, narrow spacing, ears hanging down to the neck, and solemn expression. The right hand is in the position of saying, the left hand is on the knee, and sits on the stepped double-petal lotus high seat. The left and right shoulders of the vestment are carved with the sun and the moon respectively. The sun is carved with three crows, and the moon is carved with osmanthus and jade rabbit. A palace suspended in the air is carved in front of the Buddha. The seat curtain is hanging in an inverted hill shape, with a tauren figure and a slim figure with a vertical hair and a large mouth carved on the left and right sides respectively, with a gear carved in the middle and two strings carved on it. The image is ingeniously conceived, with clear layers and appropriate patterns
Lushena Buddha is the leader of the Huayan Sect. The Huayan followers painted various images of the world on the Buddhist clothing according to the Huayan Sutra, trying to visualize the idea of “the Buddha is the Dharma World”, and created the statue of Lushena Dharma World Buddha. The ancient craftsmen exerted infinite creativity in the limited space, so that their superb skills could be fully reflected in the statues. There are very few works of this special form of Buddha statues handed down from generation to generation, which is of great value to the study of Buddhist history and the art of Buddha statues.
