The preface to the Orchid Pavilion imitated by Yu Shinan in the Tang Dynasty, the paper version, the running script, 24.8 cm in length and 57.7 cm in width
This is essentially white hemp paper, belonging to the Tang Dynasty. Some characters have obvious marks of marking, which should be copied by the Tang people. Until the Ming Dynasty, this volume has been considered as a copy of Chu Suiliang. Later, Dong Qichang thought in his postscript that it was “like Yongxing (Yu Shinan),” and later generations renamed it as a copy of Yu Shinan. Liang Qingbiao in the Qing Dynasty also signed the “Tang Yu Shinan Linxi Calligraphy” at the beginning of the volume. It is also known as the “calendar book” because it contains the seal of the Yuan Dynasty calendar
This volume is spliced with two pieces of paper, each with 14 lines, arranged loosely and evenly. It is near the stone inscription “Dingwuben”. But the stippling is similar to Chu Suiliang’s copy. The stippling is more rounded and less sharp. The ink color of the sketch is light and the smell is ancient. According to textual research, this should be an ancient copy of the Tang Dynasty
There are 17 inscriptions and postscripts of the Song, Ming and Qing dynasties, with 104 seals and 5 half seals. Among them, Zhu Wenyin, the “treasure of the calendar” stamped on the front collage, and the line of “minister Zhang Jinjie slave moves forward” inscribed on the back collage are all true. The official seal of the Song Dynasty on the back of the seal, as well as the inscriptions of Wei Chang and Yang Yi in the Song Dynasty and the postscript of Song Lian in the early Ming Dynasty on the first tail of the paper, are all postscript. Later, the inscriptions and postscripts of the Ming people on the paper were all true
This volume has been collected in the Southern Song Dynasty Gaozong Neifu, Yuan Tianli Neifu, Ming Dynasty Yang Shijie, Wu Zhi, Dong Qichang, Mao Zhisheng, Yang Wan, Feng Quan, Qing Liang Qingbiao, An Qi, Qianlong Neifu and other places. He has been recorded in Dong Qichang’s Essays in the Painting Chamber of Zen in the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Chou’s Record of Authenticity, Nanyang Fa Shu Table, Wang Jiayu’s Coral Net · Book Record, Wu Sheng’s Grand View Record in the Qing Dynasty, An Qi’s Moyuan Huiguan, Ruan Yuan’s Essays in Shiqu, and Shiqu Treasure Collection · Continuation and other books. In the Qing Dynasty, it was carved into the “Orchid Pavilion Eight Pillars”, ranking first
