[Stone Buddha]
Stone Buddha, North Qi Dynasty, 232 cm high and 186 cm wide
The bun of the Buddha is light and flat, with a rectangular face, plump cheeks, dignified features, and a smile on the corners of the mouth. The cassocks are covered outside and the monks are inside. The neckline of the cassocks is hanging low, and the chest is exposed with a knot. The parts below the waist have been lost. It is said that this Buddha statue and the new 177718 and 177719 Bodhisattva statues were transported from Sanyuan, Shaanxi Province. In June 1949, Mr. Huo Zhiming donated them to the Chinese History Museum, and on April 1, 1966, the Chinese History Museum transferred them to the Palace Museum for collection.
