[Stone painted Guanyin Statue]
Stone painted Guanyin Statue, Eastern Wei Dynasty, residual height 46.5 cm
Guanyin wears a trefoil crown (most of which have been lost), has a round face, a flat belly, a neck ornament, a jade ring in the left hand, a lotus bud in the right hand, and a silk cloth in the right hand, which intersects with the wall, and hangs down to the knee and folds back on the arm, which naturally hangs outward, and stands on the double-petal lotus with bare feet, and the bottom is a rectangular base. There are gilded remains on the body and base. The back of the backlight is painted with ink and ink. The painted ideological image behind the statue is well preserved, which is rare among the white stone statues in Dingzhou, providing us with valuable material materials for studying the Buddhist painting art in this period.
