Due to the geographical proximity, the theme style of Xuzhou stone relief is closer to that of Shandong stone relief. But they are different. First of all, in terms of composition, Xuzhou’s stone reliefs are more white than those in Shandong Province. They emphasize the symmetry of the picture. There are two types of arrangement, single and double layers, and the difference of priority and size, or their natural areas are divided into several sections through buildings and other scenes. The local and overall pictures are relatively independent and harmonious. Secondly, there are many decorative patterns on Xuzhou stone reliefs, especially on the large stone reliefs. Generally, the periphery is a semicircle pattern, the middle is a double-layer diamond pattern, and the innermost is the center of the picture.
