灵谷塔是南京地区最高最美的八面九层宝塔,它由钢筋混凝土及苏州金山花岗石建造。灵谷塔的原名叫阵亡将士纪念塔,始建于1931年是阵亡将士公墓建筑群中一个重要的组织部分。第一公墓在中轴线上,也就是无梁殿的后面。
