This group of photos was taken in 1939. As early as 1937 (the 26th day of the Republic of China), after the Japanese army occupied Zhangjiakou, the Japanese directly manipulated the King of Germany and his followers, and established the so-called Mongolian Autonomous Government. The end of the King of Germany:

After the surrender of Japan, the King of Germany lived in Peiping with limited activities. On the eve of the liberation of Peiping, the king of Germany turned to Alxa Left Banner and initiated Mongolian autonomy. In early 1950, King De and others left Mongolia; He was later arrested by Mongolia and transferred back to China. As the chief war criminal in (Inner Mongolia), King De was imprisoned in Zhangjiakou. In 1963, he was released with amnesty (employed as a librarian of Inner Mongolia Literature and History Research Institute); Later, he died in Hohhot

苏尼特右旗隶位于内蒙古锡林郭勒盟,简称苏右旗;苏尼特原属于成吉思汗后裔名,后成为部落名称。苏尼特右旗包含了汉、蒙、满、回等民族。

德王,即德穆楚克栋鲁普(1902年2月8日-1966年5月23日),字希贤。清朝光绪三十四年(1908年),袭爵札萨克多罗杜棱郡王,人称德王。民国二年(1913年),北洋当局授其札萨克和硕杜棱亲王。民国七年(1919年),开始执掌旗政。

本组照片是1939年拍摄,而早在1937年(民国二十六),日军占领张家口后,日本人直接摆布德王及其追随者们,成立了所谓的蒙疆联合自治政府。植田谦吉大将(日本关东军司令官)飞嘉卜寺,与德王、李守信、吴鹤龄等会晤,策划军事事宜。察北军改为蒙古军,德王出任总司令,李守信出任副总司令、参谋长。

德王结局:

日本投降后,德王寓居北平、活动受限。北平解放前夕,德王辗转至今阿拉善左旗,发起蒙古自治。1950年年初,德王等出走蒙古国;后被蒙方逮捕并转送回中国。德王作为(蒙疆)首要战犯,囚禁于张家口。1963年,他被特赦释放(受聘为内蒙古文史研究馆馆员);后病亡于呼和浩特。
