Today, I share with you the old photos of Haicheng, Liaoning Province in 1941, taken by the Japanese in the winter of 1941
Haicheng is subordinate to Anshan City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the hinterland of Liaodong Peninsula, in the Shenyang Economic Zone. To the north, it borders Anshan, the steel capital, and Shenyang, the provincial capital. To the south, it borders Yingkou and Dalian, the coal and iron city of Benxi and the border city of Dandong. To the west, it faces Panjin, the new oil field city across the river
Haicheng belonged to Liaodong Prefecture of Yan State during the Warring States Period. In the Han Dynasty, Xinchang, Liaodui and Anshi were built in the county. During the Three Kingdoms Period, Wei occupied the north, belonged to Pingzhou, and later changed to Youzhou. Four years after the Sixteen Kingdoms of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (404), Yan Guang was divided by Koguryo for more than 260 years
During the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty, he was the governor of Anton City. In Liao Dynasty, the name of Haicheng originated from Haizhou. In the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, Haizhou was established as Shandong Province; The state was abolished in the eighth year of Hongwu. In the ninth year of Hongwu’s reign (1376), Haizhou Wei was set up under the command of Liaodong Metropolitan Commander’s Office. In the 10th year of Emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1653), Haizhou was changed into Haicheng
Haicheng is also the place where Zhang Zuolin made his fortune. Here are the photos of this group, please refer to:

海城栏可山,一株峭壁之上的古松,一派生机盎然之气,下方一望无垠的田地,这张照片取景位置绝佳。

海城市街。远处为厝石山公园及惜字亭,清光绪年间的1906年由当时的海城知县管风和所建。公园建筑物毁于后来的天灾人祸,只留下文庙的后殿遗迹尚存。
