Anxian County is located in the southwest of Mianyang City

Anzhou was built more than 1600 years ago in the third year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and in the seventh year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1374 AD), Jiang’an Prefecture became Anxian County and was moved to present Anchang Town, belonging to Chengdu Prefecture. In the fifth year of Emperor Yongzheng’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1727 AD), Mianzhou was upgraded to Zhili Prefecture, and Anxian County was changed to Mianzhou. On April 23, 2016, Anxian County was cancelled and Anzhou District of Mianyang City was established upon approval
