Share a group of old photos taken during the field training of the new soldiers of the national army in Hubei in 1942. This group of photos was taken by American journalist Foreman fromHarrison Forman’s Chinese Photography Collection 。

I don’t know what kind of chance, Forman took this group of photos to show us the process of the new soldiers’ training. It can be seen from the photos that the process is probably a mountain march, a riverside picnic, and a boat ride back. I feel that these soldiers are very young. It seems that many of them are about 1516 years old

Forty two years ago was the hardest time for the whole nation to fight against Japan. Even such young and inexperienced teenagers had to fight against the enemy, which shows how tight the situation is! The people in the photos are childish and skinny. They are like Sanmao in the film “Sanmao Joins the Army”. They can also be called heroes. They live as Xuguo and die as ghosts

这种头盔在以往的老照片很少见到，叫做“藤盔”，防御枪弹的作用几乎没有，但是建国后一段时间曾被用作安全帽来使用。

带子的位置不在脖子下而在鼻孔下也是有讲究的，据说防止从突然从背后勒紧，导致窒息！

据网友辨认，这只部队可能是沿汉江驻防的五战区广西兵，李宗仁的第五战区司令长官部驻地设在湖北省光化县河口。
