A group of old photos from Kyoto University in Japan shows us the images of Zhangjiakou, a commercial town in Chahar Province in the late 1930s

From August 21 to 26, 1937, the Japanese attacked Zhangjiakou, and the 143rd Division of the Chinese garrison fought with the Japanese, but Zhangjiakou was occupied by the Japanese after losing. In 1945, during the counter offensive, our Shanxi Chahar Hebei troops recaptured Shanhaiguan, Chengde, Zhangjiakou and other cities
