Jiaoling County, located in the northeast of Guangdong Province, formerly known as Zhenping County, is a county under the jurisdiction of Meizhou City. It is located in the northeast of Guangdong Province, upstream of the Han River, and at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi. Jiaoling is a place where Hakka people live together. Jiaoling has a long history. It belonged to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period; The Land of Hundred Leaps”. In the Wu Kingdom of the Three Kingdoms (222-280), Jiaoling belongs to Dongguan County and Jieyang County. In the sixth year of Chongzhen’s reign (1633) of the Ming Dynasty, the township sage of Jiaoling County, relying on his Xiao, sent a letter to the Ming authorities, asking them to set up Zhenping County. Upon adoption, Zhenping County was set up under the jurisdiction of Chaozhou. In the 12th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1807), it was Zhenping County, Jiaying Prefecture. In 1912, after the founding of the Republic of China, Jiaying Prefecture was abolished and Zhenping County was under the direct control of Guangdong Province. In 1914, Henan Province had the first“ Zhenping County”, Zhenping County in Guangdong was renamed Jiaoling County
