In 1920s, the old photos of Shenyang were issued by Yongqing Photo Studio

Share a group of old photos of Shenyang, Liaoning Province during the Republic of China, and let’s have a look at the city style and scenic spots of Shenyang a hundred years ago

This group of photos were collected from old postcards collected by the University of Japanese Academy of Studies, and were collected by Gan Zhisuke Ishida (1891-1974), a Japanese who was visiting Korea and Manchuria at that time. The photos mainly came from various postcards issued in North China after 1919

The following are some old Shenyang postcards that I have sorted out and marked as issued by Yongqing Photo Studio (Japan). Some postcards have numbers, up to 109. Therefore, this series of postcards should have more than 100 photos, but I have only collected the following 17. The photo preview is as follows:

关于永清照相馆

1901年春，日本人永清文次郎和俄国人亚历山大·多古赞斯基在今天的中街南、朝阳街东开办了永清写真馆（即照相馆），这是沈阳第一家照相馆。永清文次郎是第一个在奉天定居的日本人，他的写真馆也是当时奉天最早成立的唯一一家照相馆。

永清写真馆店铺以及永清文次郎一家的住宅，从1901年到1934年撤离沈阳，一直位于钟楼南大街1-32，即今天的沈河区朝阳街和故宫东巷交汇处朝阳街东，占地面积大约为660平方米，其中一半是建筑面积。其他还有庭院、道路，地面全部铺有木砖。写真馆面向钟楼南边的大街即今朝阳街。店铺和住宅宽15米，进深7米，外边墙壁上贴砖涂浆，洋风平房。正门的旁边挂着刻有“奉天永清写真馆”的黄铜招牌。
