Dong Qichang (1555-1636) got the painting painted by Huang Gongwang for Chen Baosheng (Yan Lian) in the 44th year of Wanli (1616) and then copied it. In 1596, Dong Qichang had received the volume of “The Dwelling Picture of Fuchun Mountain”. This work also shows the similar composition of the volume of “The Dwelling Picture of Fuchun Mountain”. Through Huang Gongwang’s style, Dong Qichang increased his rich changes in writing. In the painting scroll, the ink and brush are varied, and the dry and wet strokes are interlaced. The natural interest is overflowing. The formation of the mountain also has a cascade of mountain shapes from the “Dwelling Map of Fuchun Mountain”, but it changes more flexibly and has shown the painting style of Dong Qichang in the middle and later periods.
