- Description:
According to the postscript, this picture was painted by Dong Qichang in Yushan after the autumn rain in the 41st year of Wanli (1613). In the painting, the long linen chapped rocks are used to represent Huang Gongwang’s style of “Tianchi Stone Wall”, which is hidden in the Forbidden City in Beijing. In the foreground, there are two thatched huts on the slope bank, and a small slope circle surrounds the water area, forming a separate area. In the middle view, several fine trees are arranged on the steep platform on the top of the boulder, and they are stacked up with the distant mountains behind them. The color material applied on the platform in the painting seems to have changed over time, and the primary color should be bluer. This work is similar to the landscape book painted by Zhao Zuo Wanli in the 41st year in the Forbidden City in Beijing, and is suspected to be a work written by Zhao Zuo and inscribed by Dong Qichang.
