- Description:
This volume is short in length. It starts from the paintings of scholars in the countryside, shepherd boys herding, greeting relatives, Hongqiao market, inside and outside the city wall, to the shops on the street. It stops suddenly, and the scene of Jinmingchi Ferry is missing. The structure of the passage, even the arrangement of the characters, the structure of the ship and the city wall are similar to the picture of the river during the Qingming Festival (hence picture 001605) of the same name, presumably from the same manuscript. The characters in this painting are flat and short, and the clothes lines are formatted; The outline of the distant mountain is drawn with ink lines, and then strengthened with blue and green stone to enhance the beauty of the picture. From the perspective of painting and style, it is far from Qiu Ying. The postscript of Wen Zhengming’s “Jiajing Dingyou Spring March” is not true. It should be the “Suzhou Film” imitated by Suzhou Shantang Painting Shop in the Ming Dynasty for high profits.
