- Description:
Zhao Zuo (who was active in the early 17th century), a native of Songjiang, Jiangsu Province. Huang Gongwang’s landscape painting is more beautiful. Dong Qichang appreciates his painting skills and often paints for him. The size of this painting is slightly small, but the composition is novel and strange. At first glance, Zhongshan Stone is simply on the right half of the painting, but the dry brush chapped rocks are layered, and the ink color is rich, creating a changing mountain scene. The foreground trees are in the center of the picture, and the branches and leaves lean slightly to the right, so that the viewer can follow them to the cottage. At first glance, the figures sitting in the mountain house seem to be isolated from each other. They really have a free posture of wandering the mountain scenery.
