- Description:
The imperial poem was written in the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1762), the year of the third southern tour. The third southern tour was originally scheduled to be held four years after the previous southern tour, but it was delayed one year due to floods in Gaoyou, Baoying and other counties. According to the records, Peng Qifeng (1701-1784), an official minister, paid tribute on February 21. The painting depicts the theme of snow scenery favored by Emperor Qianlong. On February 26th and 27th, Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty enthusiastically recited the work that had just been added to the suitcase. The painting of Zhengming poems was earlier than that of Lu Zhi, and the contents were copied from Xie Shichen’s (1487-1567) poems with self titled albums. With the painting title and the way of expression, it is speculated that it should be a pseudonymous work at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty.
