  This device is simple in shape, Upright and thick. The hemispherical body stands above the three hoofed feet, and there are two broad vertical ears on the mouth edge. The body of the whole instrument is smooth, and only a round of simple double ring pattern and a convex string pattern are decorated below the mouth edge. There are 500 characters of inscription in the vessel, which is the longest bronze inscription ever known. The content expresses King Xuan’s ardent expectation of Duke Mao in an ancient, elegant and sophisticated style. The style is similar to the Shangshu · The Order of Marquis Wen.
