Ma Shouzhen (1548-1604), with small characters Xuan’er, Xuanxuan Zi, and also Yuejiao, was named Xianglan. Jinling (now Nanjing) prostitute is one of the eight beauties in Qinhuai. He is famous for his poems and paintings and has heard of them abroad. It is said that Siam sent envoys to buy their paintings with heavy money, and they regarded them as treasures.
