Dai Jin (1388-1462) was born in Qiantang, Zhejiang Province. The word “Wenjin” is also called “Jing’an” or “Yuquan Mountain People”. He was once recommended to Beijing as a court painter. The painting style combines the painting styles of Ma (Yuan), Xia (Gui) and Li (Cheng) and Guo (Xi) schools prevailing in the Southern Song Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty, establishing the landscape style of the Zhejiang school in the Ming Dynasty.
