The old title was written by the Emperor Wuzong of the Ming Dynasty, but judging from the words under the tree roots, it should be drawn by Li Gui. Li Xuan was a court painter in the Zhengde (1506-1521) period of Wuzong, and his detailed life has been unknown. This vertical axis is probably the only work in existence.
