Ouyang Xuan (1273-1357), named Guizhai and Pingxin Old Man, has the character of Yuangong. He first lived in Luling (now Ji’an City, Jiangxi Province) and then moved to Liuyang (now Liuyang County, Hunan Province). In the second year of Yuanyanyou (1315), he was granted the title of Jinshi, and in the fifth year of Zhiyuan (1339), he was a bachelor of Baihanlin with a posthumous title of Wen. Calligraphy is excellent, and poetry and prose are excellent. People at that time were proud of their prose. The History of the Yuan Dynasty has been handed down.
