  • Description:
The flower plate is divided into six petals along the mouth, with a shallow arc wall, slightly concave in the center of the plate, and a short circle of feet. Underburn, apply green glaze inside and outside, the glaze color is white with beige, gray edge appears at the thin glaze edge, and the glaze surface is covered with brown patterns. When applying glaze to the foot border, the circle foot shall be rotated and trimmed evenly, and the foot tip shall be unglazed to expose dark gray carcass. The other two similar celadon plates (hence 003270 and 003271) in the courtyard are engraved with the imperial poem of Emperor Qianlong on the bottom of the plate, which reveals that Emperor Qianlong regarded this type of plate as Ge kiln porcelain. Similar plates are also found in the tiger cave site in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The unearthed objects from Wang Xingzu’s tomb (1371) in Nanjing suggest the possible firing time of these plates.
