- Description:
This poem inscribed by the central emperor is a “Jiachen” model, which was enjoyed during the sixth southern tour in the 49th year of Qianlong’s reign (1784). This was the last time Emperor Qianlong made a southern tour. The main purpose of this tour was not only to inspect the Hegong Haitang, but also to visit the Confucius Forest, which he had not visited for a long time. The inscription was made in Yangzhou on the way back to Luan in early March. Because Emperor Qianlong mistook Boyan Buhua (active in the middle of the 14th century) as a Mongolian nationality, he changed its name to “Bayan Buha” according to the Mongolian ancient sound, and believed that the painter’s signature of “Boyan Buhua” was due to Han people’s shallow and contemptuous understanding of other ethnic cultures
