Description:
Porcelain stem cup with ribbed stem and green glaze. This stem cup has an everted rim and three-ribbed stem which is hollowed out and glazed; the foot ring is unglazed. The stem imitates a stalk of bamboo and is dotted with iron-oxide brown impurities. Inside the bowl is a medallion with an indistinct floral motif around which four lines radiate, creating four panels which contain incised designs of some of the Eight Treasures of Buddhism, including the endless knot and conch shell, and the flaming pearl.
