    The rectangular hand copying inkstone has a flat and straight surface with damage, and there is no fence at the end of the inkstone. The other three sides are slightly protruding with wide edges, forming a one character pool; The back of the inkstone slants downward from the end to the head. The stone is green and white. Duanshi was produced in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, and was valued after the middle and late Tang Dynasty. On the side wall of the head of the inkstone, the characters “Yuan Yan” are inscribed in the official script; The right wall is engraved with the inscription of “Ningsong” in the shade, and the left wall is engraved with the model of regular script: “Made in the spring of April of the second year of Zhizheng”; The back of the inkstone is engraved with the inscription of the inkstone made by the Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty in regular script: “The yellow color is faint, and the black color is kept, which is for the sake of the separated Po.” Article: “Qianlong Imperial Knowledge”, and engraved with the inscription: “A few moments of pleasure”. The second year of Zhizheng is 1342 AD. This “Ningsong Inkstone Inkstone” written by Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty is included in the Complete Collection of Imperial Poems and Essays of Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty. It can be seen from the collection that Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty ordered people to sort out the inkstones stored in his inner office in the winter of the 14th year of Qianlong reign (1749) because of “a few spare moments”. Ten ancient inkstones (three Tang inkstones, six Song inkstones, and one Yuan inkstone) were selected to write the inkstone inscriptions, and then the craftsmen carved these inkstones on the back of the inkstone separately. This “end stone Ningsong inkstone” is the only Yuan inkstone. Since then, Duanshi has been famous all over the world, and it has been exploited in many dynasties. Among the ancient famous inkstones handed down from generation to generation, Duanshi Ningsong inkstone can be dated to the end of Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty in terms of shape.
