- Description:
The bowl is open, slanting straight wall, shallow belly, small feet, and looks like a bamboo hat. The whole body is covered with black glaze, the inner bottom is a little raised, and the inner wall is decorated with a dead leaf pattern, which is brown and yellow, with blue and white stripes. The dead leaf pattern inside the device can be seen faintly on the black glaze outside the space. The silvery white plum blossom branches and moon string traces can be seen. This month’s plum pattern may have been decorated with gold or silver painting, which has been peeling off over the years. Now it can only be seen when turning to the light. The bottom foot is unglazed, the body is loose, and the color is grayish yellow. The wall of the bowl shows the traces of blank drawing. The light yellow body of the outer bottom ring foot is coated with a paste brown make-up glaze, which seems to be intended to imitate the black and brown body color of the kiln. The glaze is dark, and yellow brown eyelids occasionally appear on the glaze. The glaze around the mouth is thin and yellow, with copper edges. The paper-cut and decal black glazed bowl ware is a unique decorative technique created by Jiangxi Jizhou Kiln. The decal patterns such as wood leaves, plum blossoms, dragons and phoenixes, or characters are common.
