Comments:Harrison-Hall 2001:Small jars such as this, containing oils and medicines, were exported to countries in south-east Asia. They are decorated with minor variations in underglaze blue, but mostly are painted with flowering plants in a sketchy style. The present jar was found in Singosari, eastern Java, Indonesia. Similar jars have been found in other parts of south-east Asia including the Philippines, such as a jar with chrysanthemum decoration in place of the lilies, now in a private collection.
