Longquan stoneware incense burner in the form of an archaic bronze li tripod with wide neck and flattened mouth rim, on three legs. The incense burner has grey-green glaze with wide dark crackle. There is a vent hole in each leg just below the join with the body.

It is covered with a pale grey-green glaze. In the Song dynasty, educated men revived interest in antiques and in collecting objects from the past. They published catalogues illustrating historical jades and bronzes. Contemporary Song craftsmen reproduced their shapes in other materials, responding to commissions from wealthy clients.
