Comments:’14. Very fine painting. The seal is not the artist’s seal & is a later addition.’ (unattributed annotation in the specially interleaved Japanese Study Room copy of Anderson 1886) Clarissa von Spee (2016) reattributes this painting to Japan, Edo period (1603-1868).
