Comments:Rawson 1992:This painting is attributed to Jiang Song. It is a fine example of landscape painting of the late Zhe school, which was based on the tradition of the Southern Song academy. The artist’s signature and seal have been removed from the top left-hand corner of the painting, and the work has been reattributed to the Northern Song painter Xu Daoning (c. 970-1051/2).
